The Trump Administration rescinded the ICE directive that would require international students to leave the US if their university offers only remote-learning classes on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lawsuits were swiftly filed by universities including Harvard and MIT and a number of States to enjoin the enforcement of this directive. Today, the Trump Administration has agreed to cancel the policy during a federal court hearing in Boston. For now, F-1 and M-1 international students can continue to study remotely and safely without worry of deportation.
