FY 2010 H-1B Cap Quota Update
On May 19, 2009, the USCIS announced it has received approximately 45,500 H-1B petitions counting toward the Congressionally-mandated 65,000 cap. The agency will continue to accept petitions subject to the general cap. Although the agency has received about 20,000 advanced degrees petitions, it will continue to accept this type of petitions with the expectation that some of the filed petitions will not be approved.
